Objectives

  1. To provide Vodafone customers with relevant rewards during the summer months via the VeryMe app.

Strategy

Off the back of the last 3 years of providing days out solutions for Vodafone, they were looking at an interim solution on cinema, whilst moving from one sole cinema provider to another.

DRG have secured hundreds of cinema locations across the UK, providing heavily discounted cinema tickets for adults and children, as well as additional savings across popcorn and drinks bundles. Due to our well-established cinema partner relationships, we are able to allow customers to save approximately 40% on tickets alone.

Launched on 4th July and running until 3rd October, DRG provided a white label cinema i-frame which was in the look and feel of Vodafone's eco-system, allowing customers to make huge savings whilst watching the latest film releases. The cinema proposition came at the perfect time, launching prior to the big blockbusters that were Barbie & Oppenheimer.

Within 3 weeks Vodafone customers had already made over £20k worth of savings, underlining the fact that cinema is as popular as it was pre covid.


Results

The VeryMe Vodafone Movies promotion yielded impressive results: 6,852 claims were made, resulting in 71,426 redemptions.

Participants spent £110,484.22 and saved £49,348.13. Additionally, the promotion spurred further spending and savings on popcorn and drink bundles at participating cinema chains. On average customers made a total saving of 44.7%, nearly making it a 2-4-1 offering.

These outcomes underscore the promotion's effectiveness in driving consumer engagement and delivering value across multiple aspects of the cinema experience.
