Capri Sun Free Sports Sessions​

Objectives

  1. To drive sales of Capri-Sun multi-packs using an on-pack promotion to claim a free sports session from over 30 sports across the UK.
  2. To give back and provide access to sports clubs for kids and families that might not otherwise be able to attend sports clubs.

Strategy

DRG began by outreaching to 1000’s of sports providers across various sporting categories in November 2023 prior to a campaign launch in May 2024. DRG managed to onboard over 1,500 sports sessions across 25 different sporting categories to provide the offering for the Capri Sun promotion.

DRG designed and developed a white label i-solution providing free taster sessions to kids aged between 5-16 years old, who were looking to try out a new sport during the summer of sport we have had this year, as well as raising awareness of sports clubs within local proximity to the Capri Sun audience who may not have known.

The campaign was delivered via an on-pack promotion across 3.7 million promotional packs, allowing customers to scan the QR code and sign up with the unique code displayed on the pack. Once registered, customers can book onto their chosen sporting category and venue. Customers can make a repeat purchase, adding a new free taster token into their account each week. The campaign sought to encourage kids to get outdoors more, lead a healthier lifestyle all whilst increasing sales for the brand.

The campaign is live and in market until December 2024.
